Team 6 Th3_IA Jim_IV bloodcrick BOW/zimmer Brandon8807 Check in here so we can make sure all members are still participating in the contest! I look forward to gettin to know you fellas a little better, as I did with my team in the deer contest this year.
I guess I'll start off by introducing myself as well. I know some about you guys from looking around the forums, but not much about you. My name is Brandon, and I'm 21 years old. I'm currently a student at Western Illinois University studying Biology. I'm hoping to be able to find a job with a states Department of Natural Resources, or maybe even federal with U.S. Fish and Wildlife. I've been around hunting since I was born, and started hunting around age 11. However, hunting turkeys with a bow is somewhat new to me, and has proven to be a great challenge the past couple years that I've tried. We have plenty of turkeys in my area, and I feel optimistic that I'll be able to get a turkey on the ground if I put enough time into my hunting.
BOW/zimmer checking in!! Going after my for turkey with the bow this year! I have one tag so far, but plan on getting two more! Looking forward to a great season with you guys!

I'm Jim, 24 years old. I've been bowhunting for about 11 years now. I've killed 2 turkeys with my bow but both were during the fall seasons. I have plans to head back up to Kansas this year to chase a few gobblers.
Crick gets my vote for captain Any ideas for team names guys? By the way Crick, do you still have that video of your son calling and gobbling? I'd love to show it to my old man, he's a turkey fanatic!

I'm cool with whatever ya'll decide on things. Sounds like crick is our captain. As far as a name goes, I don't have any ideas or opinions, so long as our results match our name
Man im pumped now parked the jeep this morning to go hunt sheds, was putting on my boots and the gobblers were going nuts
Sweet, I wish we had a bunch of birds here in NE Texas. We have some, but their few and far between. I'm headed up to NE Kansas in early to mid May. They (my cousins) have been seeing a ton of birds!
I haven't been seeing any birds yet, as it's still a bit early in the year for the turkeys to be on our land. Generally the turkeys move to the neighboring land during the winter, then close to the border of our land and a neighbor during the spring. The turkeys usually roost in the same spot every night, but what way they go depends on what side of the creek they roost on. We usually have a nice flock of 40-50 turkeys with 4 or 5 toms and several jakes.
Brandon sounds like alot of birds to work with good luck Hey guys, im ok with thunder chasers to. We need our name, is everyones cool with that, if yeah, we will go with it and Brandon will edit our thread title! My season is the third week in April, when do you guys start?
Man I guess im lucky here, I can sit on the computer and see birds across the road in a field. Get up to get a drink and see a flock behind the house out the back door They have really come on in my area, and they love old strip mine ground that surrounds me. BUT i can remember when there were NO turkeys in my area.
