There are a lot of different preferences on this. I am curious to see how other people set up their sights. Right now I am all .029 5 pin with different colors. I am thinking about either doing all .019 or top two .029 and bottom 3 .019 and then maybe rotating between colors of green and yellow. There is also the .010 size but that seems pretty small.

I shoot a 5 pin sight with green, red, green, red, green, .019 pins.
I don't see the yellow very well with my "more mature" eyes. .029 pins are to big for me and .010 are to small with the .019's fitting the bill for my type of shooting/hunting.

My spot Hogg real deal & G5 rock I run all green .010. I feel they don't halo to bad. When I went to the .010 pins my groups shrank a lot.

3 pins on a slider. Last year I used a CBE TEK Hybrid Pro, this year I'll be using an Axcel Accutouch with the new Accustat head on it.

I prefer 3 pins for hunting. 20, 30, 40 yards all in .019. Any further and I'll dial for the exact distance.

I set my 20 pin in exact center of the scope housing with 30 and 40 under it. I re-thread the fiber to a green/yellow/green pattern, and when I do my top 20 pin I flare the fiber to roughly the size of a normal .029 pin with a lighter.

3 pins on a slider. All green. Right now I have .019 for the top the .010 on the other two. If I ordered again they would all 3 be .010. I don't use yellow because we have a lot of CRP around and that pin is easily lost and red halos really bad with my eyes. So green it is for me.

Green, red, green, red, green. Don't see yellow that well. All my current sights have .019 pins, except for one that has .029 top and the rest .019. I favor the last combination.

Three fixed .019 pins. Top is yellow as its the most visible color when it gets toward dark. Next is green and the last pin is red. Set pins at 20. 30. 40.

Wow you can see yellow later than green? For most people I know that one goes shortly after red and well before green.

I hate yellow pins, we are all different of course, but for me shooting into bright sunlight I seem to lose yellow in the light. I like green and then red. Right now I have a single .019" green pin. When I had a 3 pin slider I had top 0.019" green, middle .019" red, bottom .010" green.

I have a 3pin slider. all .019. red greed red. i dont like the green much. I think im going to have my proshop switch the green to the top pin, and put a .010 on the bottom and keep it red. the green is a little to bright for me.

I use 4 pins. Green, red, green, red. I have found that I just don't see the yellow well either so green and red it is. First 2 pins are .019 with the last 2 being .010.

I have considered going all green as they tend to be brightest to me but I like to have different colored pins.

Had a Spot Hogg Hunter 5 pin. Had green, orange, red pins. Top two were .019, remaining two were .010. Now that I am older, I have a single green .019 Tommy Hogg.

I went to this about 10-12 years ago. I can't see the red well and .010 is to small for my old eyes.

    green .029 - 20 yds
    green .019 - 35 yds
    green .019 - 45 yds

For years, I had four pins: 20, 30, 40, 50. A few years ago, I sent all my sights back in to Spot Hogg to have them add a 60-yarder too after I found myself hunting more and more spots that warranted it.

My top pin is always green, and always .29. They alternate from there in yellow and green (I hate red pins in low-light conditions, which is when most deer appear) in .19.

I can see the .29 in later light, and I don't need to be so "fine" with my aiming at 20 yards... it's easy enough to count down the yardages when you can jump a whole color at a time if need be in a hurry (first green is 20, second green is 40 and third green is 60).
