The turbo cams on this thing are stiff, I've contemplated switching to 60# limbs but I've turned it down to 60# & they're still a little stiff. So j was wondering if there was another cam that would fit this thing without having to get rid of the bow & buy another one.

Yeah, after shooting several I've learned that I'm not brand loyal. But if it counts for anything to this day my favorite still is my Switchback XT!

Might be able to fit z5 cams but not likely, by that time you would have to buy different strings and you would end up with a frankenstein bow. It would be cheaper to try and sell or trade for something else. Put in on AT for trade and see what people offer. I, personally, thought the nitrum turbo was a smooth draw and the defiant turbo is even smoother.

The Nitrum turbo (and all Hoyt turbos to me) have an aggressive draw. I am just not a fan, they put out good speed though. I am with davidingle that you are probably better off selling it. Even if Z5 or other cams would fit, new cams, new strings won't be cheap.

Sell it and buy a halon 6. Idk what numbers your getting out of the nitrum but my numbers are nothing short of impressive! that's 27"/64lbs with a 417gr. Arrow image.jpg

    I'm looking at a Halon 6, but not sure. Numbers are great it'll shoot 314fps at 60#, 30" & 410gr Maxima Red

Edit: just shot it with a 435gr Easton Nemesis, 5' from bow it shot 293fps.

If you like the halon line and get a chance to shoot the Halon X, shoot it! It doesn't have the speed as the shorter ATA halons but man it shoots great. Holds like a dream. If the Halon 5,6, or 7 had a longer ATA I would like them a lot better.

I owned a Nitrum turbo for about 6 months. I sold it because I didn't shoot it as well as my current bow. I found it to be about one of the smoothest drawing speed bows there is. If you find it stiff then your draw weight is too high or you need to be shooting a different bow. I will say that both the Chill R and the Halon 6 & 7 will be smoother draw cycles but there is no way they will produce the same speeds as a Hoyt turbo. Its all about what you want out of your bow.
