Anyone having this problem with their Bear Compound bows?

This is a brand new set of limbs that I installed just a few months ago and only shot a couple of hundred arrows since.
Just went outside after diner to shoot a few arrows, and on the first draw I heard a little ''CLICK''.

Sure enough, I found a needle like split on the inside of the top limb.

I had to replace the original limbs for the very same reason, two of the four branches split. I have a friend at the shooting club with the same bow and same problem.

    Here's what it look likes.

Waiting to hear back from the pro shop.

I am on my 3rd Bear bow. Never had a limb issue with any of them. None were/are an Anarchy either....TRX 400, Truth 2, and Venue, all shot a lot with zero problems.

Yep one of my main reasons for getting away from bear archery those Era of bows do have cosmetic issues which ultimately can lead to limb failure I wouldn't trust it. I've heard little about the new bear lineup when it comes to defects so they may have worked the bugs out by now. I had a bear legion and when I tell u they replaced the limbs 3 times they did and that was the last Straw. Sorry to hear they are really great about replacing and honoring there limb warranty. Take it to a reputable pro shop and get an expert opinion on what to do next.

Just wondering? Did you have limb dampeners on your split limbs? The manual of my 2014 Bear effects "strictly prohibits" dampeners no further then 2" from the pocket...

Yeah, I remember reading that too when I first got the bow.

No dampener, nothing added to the bow...

And the splits happen when I pull, not on release.

Sounds like a quality/production issue... I'm sure it will be addressed...

It would be time for a new bow of it was me. A one off issue sure it's going to happen. Having 2 sets go bad within months and having a friend with the same bow and issue? Time to move on to something else.

    I agree,
but with one kid in college and another one heading there soon... There are other priorities for my money.
Besides, I really like the bow. Smooth and accurate. It got me a bull moose and a bear.

Just wished it would stop breaking...

Next one will be a Hoyt. But I'm kind of limited in choices at 31 inches draw.

I know what you mean. I am in the same boat DL wise. And yeah the money thing always seems to get on the way too. I wanted to get an Elite Impulse 34 this year but the bank account wouldn't let me. Maybe next spring. Good luck with it.
