I shoot a mathews HTX setup in the signature, i shoot a 300 spine arrow and i realize that this is a tad bit overspined. im wondering if this slight over spine will effect my accuacy at further distances? it tuned up fine out to 20 yards is as far as i have shot them.

    Good question sir.

My set up is 62 pounds draw and 26 inch draw length complete arrow is 26 3/4 with broadhead and it's a 400 spine goldtip hunter xt the chart says I'm over spined but not real bad and I have great groups out to 40 yards as long as the dummy on the trigger don't mess up lol.

Better to shoot stiff arrows than be under spined. Especially if shooting fixed heads.

My arrows are just a hair on the stiff side as well and my Slick Tricks will tune at 40 yards. Probably further if i wanted to test it.

My son's arrows are considerably over spined for his draw weight. Because he is growing, I went with an over spine arrow for him so he could grow into it. His Wasp Drones tune with field tips at 20 yards.

Mine a real stiff and no problems at all. I do think however, that an extra stiff arrow is less forgiving. So any bad tuning or I.perfections in your form will shine through more. Especially down range past 40. But that just means practice more!

If your a little bit over spined just add either a heavier insert or point....and FYI way better to be over spined then underspined.

What does your arrow weight and how much do your tips weight? But as said before better to be over spined

Your accuracy wont change over distance due to spine, if it does thats you. If you can tune your bow to shoot a stiff spine then you should be fine. I shoot 300 spine at 64lbs.

Id rather shoot a little under spined. Grouping on both ain't a problem. But it's the paper tuning that will tell you if it's a good tuned bow or not
