Today was the first time I shot my bow. I am addicted now! One question I have is why would the arrow heads be separating from the arrow when I was pulling the arrow out of the target? Now I have 5 arrows with no heads!! I know I can replace the heads but maybe I should be replacing the arrow as well as the heads? Thank you.
They are used arrows that came with the bow. The incerts are not the screw in type I was able to just push them back in. I guess I will go buy more incert and glue them in. Curious to know why they would come lose like that if the previous owner had supposedly glued them!?
Old glue, shaft not cleaned properly, wrong glue type, old arrows so the glue is breaking down after a lot of shooting, etc. It happens sometimes. Some targets are harder than others on arrows also.
I was reading a review on some arrows I was thinking of trying on one store's website or Amazon or whatever and a guy wrote a review saying those arrows were crap. When he opened the box they were too long and the nocks were installed but not the inserts. He was appalled that he lost all his inserts in the target and had to buy more and glue them in this time so they'd stay. In a way it was funny but in a way it wasn't. I was in his shoes concerning other areas of archery not that long ago. Always remember - it doesn't matter how archery ignorant you are and how archery brilliant someone else is. At one time they were like you and add time and you will be like them.
