Have a good inside deal for both Easton and Gold Tip. Having never used either or these brands before, which is the best arrow from either company and who wins head to head? I shoot whitetail only, 70#, 29.5", mechanical heads

I shoot Easton Axis, not their number one top of the line arrow, but definitely one of their better offerings. I love it and for my hunting purposes, don't need anything better. If you are not experienced with either company, why buy the very best offering? Go with something slightly less than the best and experience what the company's products are about. Easton every time. Easton Axis, ACC & most other models made in USA. GT made overseas, all of them. Never had an carbon arrow tougher than Axis. And yes I have had 2 models of GT.
I love Easton/Beman. I think I am going to buy some of the FMJ Autumn orange special edition shafts. I used to love the Autumn orange XX75 shafts back in the day.
I am a Gold Tip guy and have zero reasons to change at this point. When built properly, they're within tolerances, shoot well and are as tough as any arrow on the market.
I've shot GT's for 2 1/2 years and never had an issue. I shot the XT Hunter 5575/400 .003 straightness. Work great for deer and turkey. Recently bought some Black Eagle Zombie Slayers .001 350 spine and like them a lot too. Can't say there's much difference between the two really. They both shoot great. It's hard to say what is either company's best arrow. They both make good stuff and your setup will determine what's the best arrow for you. The best arrow for me may not be your best or anyone else's. My suggestion would be to see what a pro shop recommends is the best for your setup and then get 6 each and see how they shoot.

I shoot Easton FMJs and they are awesome! I shot the Axis for a few years and they performed really well.
Gold tip pros. .001" +- straightness. Then use the fact weight system to throw some added weight up front
Easton, every time! SO much variety to choose from; Carbon, aluminum, or both! 4mm, 5mm, 6mm. I think Easton has the best selection of arrows & components by far, whether its hunting or target archery. 100% American made
All/everything aluminum (including ACC) is made in USA. Most carbons but not all, made in USA. I talked to Easton CS (Sarah??) a few months ago. She knew where each was made. Axis for sure in USA. 801-539-1400
I have been shooting Easton arrows for 40 years.....aluminum and now carbon. A friend that is a top shelf competitive shooter likes GT, so I bought a dozen on his recommendation.....Hunter Pros. They were good arrows and I liked the GTO bushings with pin nocks for target shooting toughness, but did not find them a bit superior to my Easton Axis. Since my bow preferred 340's over 400's and the GT's were 400's, I sold them and bought more Axis 340's. Passed through a bunch of deer with Axis and they are as durable and tough as I desire.
Hard to beat the Axis or FMJ. Best all around arrows I've ever used. If you're on a budget, they make an arrow called the Powerflight that is a great arrow for around $50/dozen.
