So I've been shooting different arrows for 3D this year. I have da'torches cut short (26") for a little extra speed. So im shooting a elite synergy at 65# 27" draw with 3 blade G5 montec the finished weight of the arrows will be about 340 grains. My arrows last year were about 400grain im wondering if the new setup might be ok? The bow is shooting the lighter arrows with the fixed blade dead on to 50 yards and ill have to change a bunch of stuff for the heavier arrows. What do you all think?
Light arrow with a cut on contact broadhead. Perfect. Light arrow with a rage broadhead=. Penetration issues
You are just over the 5gpp recommended by manufacturers but you're fine. I am shooting a similar weight arrow out of my 50# Synergy (well I will be when I can start shooting). Stay off the should joint and you'll kill deer just fine.
Yea i set them up to be just over 5gpp for 3d but i hear alot about KE on here though and thought maybe id lose to much with that setup.
