Picked up some of these this afternoon came home, put them together, screwed them on and took a shot at 30 yards.I was very pleased to see that they were dead on even out to 50 yards. I would highly recommend these to anybody looking for a fixed blade head. Super sharp and very accurate. Thanks for a great product Slick Trick !!
Welcome to the world of Slick Tricks. When you finally shoot something with them you will be even more impressed by the massive blood trails. I shoot the Magnums and they group right on top of my field points right out to 60 yds.
I have been shooting the Magnum 125's since they came on the market many years ago. I use to buy them directly from Gary back in the day before they were mainstream. I have not found anything better in all these years.
What pound bow are you shooting with your magnums. I'm really wanting to shoot these heads this season. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
What pound bow are you shooting archer I also have a fresh pack of magnum 125s lookin to hit the woods with them this fall Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Oh certainly my assasin says 60 pound on the limbs not sure if that means it was set at 60 or if they are actually 70 peak everything I've seen review wise says 40-70 I purchased the bow like new from an individual and have yet to put it on a scale or chrono for speed but as far as I know it's a 60 peak seems lightning fast compared to previous rigs Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
My 60 assasin should sling them fine then I'm guessing my bow tech was referring to changing my dynamic spine and slowing speeds. I'm shooting GT 5575 cut a 29 in Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Awesome that should be more than enough are they flying well out of that setup? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Results from shooting the slick trick magnums with field points at 20 and 30 yds. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Yep I'm already enjoying them for sure. It seems like they tune fairly easy. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
I have 1 slick trick magnum head that I got from a guy on here that he sent me to test out. I shot it a few weeks ago and it shot really well and pretty close to my field points. My dw right now is only about 52-53 lbs or so. 392 grain Easton axis arrows. Being a lower poundage setup, should I go with the ST standards instead? Not sure if there is any draw weight restrictions between the two? I'm assuming if the magnums flew pretty good, I'm sure the standards would as well.
I have shot both the standard and the magnums at many different bow weights for quite a few years and I have had real good luck with them. The only slick trick head I have found to be difficult to tune is the grizz trick - but if the bow is tuned well and the arrow spine is correct they will fly to.
I've used standards from #45 (after shoulder surgery) and worked up to #55 and they've worked great through that range. at the low poundage had pass through on a medium hog that only went 20 yards. I went with the standard to get max penetration. have not shot the magnum.
