I am with Flying Arrow Archery and I am here to answer questions and provide support for all of you who use, want to use or know someone who uses our products. For those of you who don't know Flying Arrow, we are a Montana based broadhead manufacturer. http://flyingarrowarcheryusa.com/ Our current broadhead lineup consists of Toxic, Cyclone & Tom Bomb heads. Let me know if you have any questions, concerns, praises or gripes. All feedback is appreciated and we'd like to help if you're having trouble with our products.
Well I have shot you Tom Bomb Extreme heads this season and they are horrible. Why are they so inaccurate? I shot 6 inches left consistently then put my practice tips on and I am death center. What's up?
Not affiliated with the company in any way and never used them. But 1) if they are left consistently that means they're grouping and not inaccurate 2) they fly differently because your bow is not tuned properly.
I hate to tell you Maxpetros the bow is tuned perfect. However, I did discover the fletching was hitting the cables pushing it left. I wasted all three Tom bombs.
I tried toxic in 2013 and they would have been the best broad heads ( devastation wise) I have ever shot.... BUT after shooting one at anything the blades would bend and arrow path became unpredictable. I spoke with a rep and was told that was addressed but I'm a one time birth kind of guy so I'm back to shooting rage.
Mkwa Hunter, We have experimented with 4" vanes, blazers and feathers to find out what flies the best. We recommend using a full length arrow with four 5" feathers for the best accuracy with Tom Bombs and Tom Bomb Extremes. Pay close attention to your arrow spine, as it may change with using a full length arrow. Please don't hesitate to call us with any other questions you may have. We are always here to help.
Fix, The Toxic blades are actually designed to open slightly if they hit bone, cartilage or other hard materials. This is to keep them from clogging up with that dense material. Since 2013 we have done a redesign on the blades. They are now smaller, to improve aerodynamics and we have instituted a new hardening process, so the blades are now more durable and don't open as easily.
