Hello my friends, I recently upgraded my glass! I bought a Vortex Razor HD 50mm scope, and Vortex Viper HD 10X42 binos! Wow! What a difference does great glass make! Not that my Nikon Monarch 3's were bad glass but let's face it they just can't hold up to the Vipers. The vipers are incredibly bright, sharp, and crystal clear! They also feel better in the hand and also the eye cups are more comfortable against the eyes compared to the Nikons. I will keep the Nikons as a backup but my Vipers are my go to! I'm a Vortex fan for life! How many Vortex fans are on here! ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1460488921.581501.jpg ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1460488981.485502.jpg

I wonder what you would think if you really went for it and bought a pair of Swarovskis?

Swarovskis here….. 2 pr. 10x30 for the pack bowhunting and 10x42 for long range and low light glassing. IMO NOTHING BETTER. However thats about 3000 bucks worth of glass.

Can't justify Swaro's myself but I do like the few different high end Vortex scopes I have on rifles.

My next binos will likely be Vortex unless I win the lottery. Happy enough with my Nikons for now.

I just have the diamondbacks and that was a huge upgrade from the cheap pair I had.

I won a pair of swaros. I compared them to my Steiners and while the swarovskis were clearer, it wasn't by a whole lot and for hunting in IL (where I lived at the time) it was just stupid to carry around a set of binos worth more than the truck that I was driving. So, I sold them. :)

Out here in UT, good glass is definitely more useful... but I still own Steiners. (12x40 predator pro) I just like the fact that I don't have to focus them. I managed to break off the eyecups so I sent them back to Steiner for repair. Sent them in on Wednesday, they're already fixed and back in the mail to me. Only cost me postage to send them in. That is exceptional turn around time.
