Hunting arrow

What is the best Hunting Arrow? I use the Gold Tip Hunter now. 100 grain Broadhead.

I've used the FMJ the last couple years with good results. Great penetration, heavy, and not too expensive. I'm thinking of switching to an all carbon arrow and am really thinking about the gold tip kinetic kaos

 

I've also used the Gold Tip Hunter & Velocitys. This year I'm going to use the CE Pile Driver Extremes with 125gr head. They're weighing in at 495gr.

 

FMJ's or ACC's.

 

The best hunting arrow is one that just passed through the game you are hunting.

 

Gold Tip Kinetic 300's w/ 160gr upfront and 13% FOC...hits hard!

 

The "best" is very subjective. I actively stay away from Gold Tip because I had spine inconstancies from set to set. And I tend to stay away from CX. Great arrows but there is a lot of BS with them and their so called technology. Generally overpriced. I like Easton/Beman and Victory. Heard great things about DCA but haven't used them. Generally I stick to Beman. Easy to find, never had a consistency issue and are generally more inexpensive than most of the competition.

 

Really depends on your hunting setup.
I do like FMJ's but switched to Axis because of FMJ's bending.

 

I've never heard of a "bending" problem with the FMJs. I've been shooting them for years with no issues, would you mind elaborating on your problem, I'm curious. Thanks

 

Yea I have had a hard time keeping FMJ straight as well. I can't say the same for ACCs though.

 

What's the total weight & length of the arrow? I've been looking at these.

 

Gold Tip velocity xt's with a 20 great fact weight and a total weight of 391 grains. With my setup I'm getting about 295 fps but I'm thinking about lowering my draw weight to 68lbs.

 

I use the Easton FMJs on my Z7 Magnum and the Easton Injexion Deep Six FMJs on my Creed. Both hit like a ton of bricks and I have gotten a pass through on every deer U shot with them but one.

 

Total arrow weight is 495gr +/- @ 27" that's with weights stacked upfront, the insert, 100gr head, vanes, wraps, and nockturnal nock.

 

I've shot Easton for a long time and never had an issue with them. Shot the ACC's this year and really like them. Very consistent arrow.

I think ACC are the best arrow made. Especially the .390 prohunter out my 60# bow.

That's said I also shoot black Eagles and Goldtip.

I really don't think there is a best per say However there are some that excellent in different applications.
