I got to wondering about this after reading a review on three river archery's nitro vanes. The review said they were quieter in flight than blazer vanes. That got me to thinking, I can hear my blazers in flight. Has anyone found a really quiet vane? Can anyone comment on the noise of fletchings in the air affecting game ducking the string, or arrow in this case?
I would like to learn more about this also. My Blazers are noisy, just like everyone else's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shot nitro vanes from pine ridge this past season, and I'd shot Blazers in previous years. I do believe the nitro vanes were quieter because they are made out of a more rigid plastic and tend to "flap" less than the Blazers. However, they are tough to put a helical on a micro diameter shaft while fletching is my only complaint on them.
I tried lots of vanes. Flex Fletch (I use FFP-360 and SK-300) are the quietest I found. IMO they are also the toughest, stick great and most consistent. Made in USA (MN) too.
