So you selected an arrow spine from the chart but you want to play with tip weights , DW and Arrow length?. How do you check it taking out all other variables?

Archers Advantage removes all doubt for me.

That being said there are ways to tell. Once you have established perfect centershot and no cam lean, are bareshafts clean in paper at close distances and do bareshafts hit with field points.

You can also screw on some broadheads too.

Shoot it through paper. If that is not an option, you can shoot groups at 40 yards. If your groups start falling a part spine is either too weak or too stiff. I you have some practice fixed blade broadheads they will show spine issues at 40 yards too when shot with field points. Just make sure the broadheads spin true.

Those methods could have other influences which do not isolate the check to make sure your spine is perfect.

I've done a lot of experimenting with very heavy weight up front, greater FOC, etc and can't say spine of the arrow was ever an issue since the only deviation in arrow flight was lower impact point due to heavier arrow/slower velocity. But might just be where my arrow length/poundage sit on the spine chart.

Heavy point weight won't be an issue if your spine is good. The only time it will be an issue is if you're on the light side to begin with. Like, if your at the breakover point on the spine chart and shooting lighter of the two.
