I have a PSE momentum. Should the entire string be waxed? Last bow I had the cables where steel but the cable system now is all like the bowsting? Also should the axles be lubricated occasionally?

Wax everything except the served areas of the string. It is a good idea to put a couple drops of oil on the axles now and then as well.

It's surprising how much longer string life you'll get when you keep it waxed... Seen a guy who never waxed his strings go through three compared to my one.

Why would you not wax the served areas? They are subject to abrasion and friction also.

Wax everything except the serving areas.
Wax is sticky and it will attract dirt and particles. so you don't want to wax the servings.
Only wax your string when it is fuzzy so you won't build up wax.
Every once in a while take a leather shoe lace wrap it around the string part and rub up and down to remove old wax.

Wax is sticky and attracts all sorts of crap. I wax about once a month or anytime I see the string starting to fuzz up some. When I do, I take a long piece of serving material and wrap it once around the string, pull tight and slide it up and down to peal off the old wax. The dirt sticking to the wax comes with it. Clean up the string good and apply new wax.
