Hey guys I'm looking to replace my diamond from 07 with a mathews, hoyt, or bowtech after the season but thats another story. I've only owned one bow since high school and everytime I have had it restrung I stuck with a peep sight. Solely because that's how it was setup when I bought it and I never changed. Anyways I'd like to hear some opinions and personal experiences on using a kisser button instead of a peep. Pros and cons. I grow a beard during the season and wear a mask for what its worth. Thanks

A kisser and a peep serve two very different roles. One isn't used instead of the other. A kisser is for anchor and a peep is for aligning with your pin sight.

I see. For some reason I thought people solely used a kisser.

Some still use their fingers as well, I know a guy who uses a kisser no peep and finger shoots

I use both for the simple fact that I'm always shoot the same and it really helps in the woods when your not thinking about it about to make a shot at a deer

I saw somewhere that without looking through a peep you can shoot until dark instead of when things get pretty dim. I don't get the concept but if its effective, I would try to shoot a bow with one before I get a new bow. If the concept isn't there then that's fine too.

I have always shot with just s kisser. Never had a problem hitting my target even at 60 yards. I just rest my nose on the string and keep my pins just on the inside of the string.

by the way what diamond from 07 are you shooting? I have an 07 liberty and love it. Just passed it on to my oldest son.

kisser not needed for me. But I know guys who do need it.
My rest anchors along my jaw, my nose tip hits the string, and if I can see thru the peep I am anchored properly.
