first I'm not going to hurt my shoulder
I know i dont need 80+ lbs for deer and such but its what i would like to shoot
not worried about drawing when I'm cold and in stand this will not be an problem
or any of the hate people like to dish out whenever the topic of heavy draw bows comes up

Im just looking for solid advice looking for 80+ lb draw bow would like to find one that goes up into the 90's

I believe hoyt will do a 90 pound custom bow. Cameron hanes got one but I'm not sure if it's just because he IS Cameron hanes.

Why pull a bow that heavy if you can get a 70 pound speed bow and launch arrows heavy enough to do the same damage ?

Why not read the guys post and accept that he is isn't interested in debating his wants or needs.

So can you answer his question instead of engaging him in a debate?

Why not? why do anything? Why pose a question that I already stated in the original post I wasn't interested in debating?

Why wouldn't you shoot a deer as hard as possible? If you can pull it do it

I was interested in understanding your line of reasoning for choosing that specifically, not in baiting you into a debate of me forcing my opinion on you. Maybe it would even have me looking at upping my draw weight based off of your line of reasoning about it. You seem guarded and defensive about it, as well as that other poster who so gallantly decided to come to your rescue, so I apologize for upsetting you and nevermind my question since it seems like a big deal for you not to give your thoughts on the subject. Good luck finding your bow :)

I'll answer as to why one may choose an 80#er over a faster 70#er. A speed cam is typically very radical and holds peak weight for a substantial amount of the draw where as a non speed cam doesn't hold peak weight nearly as long making it easier to draw. Let down is smoother generally speaking as well.

This is one reason why many end up lowering the poundage on a speed cam bow.

no problem if you google high draw weight bows you find threads of no info except " you dont need that much to kill anything blahh blahh blahh" I'm just looking for a bow with a higher draw weight. i'm looking to shoot a heavy arrow faster and farther. nothing deep i just really like higher poundage bows

You could do the 80# turbo cam. It'll give you closer to the 90# "feel" you're looking for.
