I'm going to be getting a new release in a week or two and I can't decide between these two. Which do you think is better for hunting and all around practicing?

I don't know if this will help but I have a carter quickie one plus and a scott silverhorn which I believe these two releases are similar to the ones you have listed above. To me there is no comparison, the silverhorn is nice but the carters crisp trigger is what sets it apart. I love my carter, it is more pricey but worth it to me. Scoot

They really are two very different animals.

The Carter breaks very clean but much lighter, it doesn't adjust as heavy as the XT. Or I should say doesn't feel as good when it's adjusted heavy.

The XT is heavy and breaks hard, which is what I like so I pull through my shots better.
The XT forces me to pull through my shots. I can get punchy with the RX 1.

The RX one compares more to the Scott sliverhorn ...

You really can go wrong with either. But if I had to chose between the RX1 and the XT I would take the XT
If I was chosen between the rx1 and the sliverhorn then I would take the carter hands down.

    If this makes sense.

Well I ended up getting a silverhorn because my local shop had them on sale for forty dollars for some reason
