I know this is Mathews country...but does anyone use a newer Bear compound. If so pros and cons? I know most guys say its what feels comfortable to you and what you can afford. I know Bear made good stuff in the past, just wondering if they are still good?

Bear really stepped up there game. They make some very nice, high quality bows with good customer service.

I have always been partial to Matthews, but switched to an Agenda 6 on a whim this year and in no way regret it. I absolutely love that bow.

I have a Bear Assault and Bear Empire, both bows are awesome, put them against all others. Fast, quiet, smooth and fun to shoot.
Check on e-bay with archery connection, they have brand new Bear bows for half the price at a store. The Empire was a $750-$800 bow without any attachments at the pro shops. I got mine for $549.00 with bow case, Trophy Ridge Sights, Trophy Ridge WB rest, Trophy Ridge 5 arrow quiver, Limb Saver stabilizer, wrist sling, peep sight and 1 Dozen Victory VForce 400gn arrows. Brand new, never been shot with guarantee and can register it with Bear Archery. This is the time of year to get them, the pro-shops are dumping all the 2014 stock and we lucky individuals can get them half price.

I shoot a Bear Carnage, and I wouldn't trade it for anything anyone produces. As others have stated, Bear has really stepped up to the plate, and they have some awesome products out there. The few times I have had to deal with their customer service over the years, they have always been the best.

Personally, I don't think you will be unhappy with any bow in the Bear Archery lineup. Go shoot 'em......you'll see why we like 'em!

I'm shooting a bear motive 6 and I really like it a lot. I have been very happy with this bow and it is very accurate and extremely quiet.

Thanks again guys, I have been looking around and I liked the Bears feel and price. I can get one " ready to shoot" for a good deal. Its a little easier to spend 400-500 than 1000 (plus extras). Time to trade in the old Golden Eagle Ultra hand me down...

There is nothing wrong with bear bows. The ones I've shot shoot very well

I shoot a Bear Anarchy and I love it. I think I, gonna be hooked on Bear for a long time. They're definitely over looked and under rated.

I shoot a Bear also. I went with it because I was on a budget when I bought it and I have no regrets. I think I made the purchase 4 years ago and I've killed 2 deer with it. I used to hunt with a PSE and I am likely sticking with Bear with my next purchase after being so pleased with my current one.

I shot a Bear Anarchy and it had an extreme amount of vibration and torque compared to my Hoyt Faktor

Love my Jennings. It was made while Bear owned Jennings right before they brought everything under the Bear name alone.

I know it's has little real substance but I like their current slogan of "Walk among legends". It just feels good to imagine being a part of the legacy of guys like Tom Jennings and Fred Bear. Even if it is nothing more than a marketing ploy

I personally hate the draw of the bear bows, my friend has a Method and a Motive I believe, and my other friend has a Cruzer. I've drawn back all of them and didn't like them a bit. The draw feels weird and the back wall is horrible. Maybe its not bad, but it feels really bad compared to my Bowtech Carbon Knight.
