I have used qad and its a good rest! I'm putting a trophy ridge revolution and I'm tuning it right now. I like it cause of the containment so far. Easy to set up also as I have been working with it less than 45 minutes and I'm about done.
I have the Ripcord Code Red for about 5 years now and love it. But I want to switch to QAD. Because with Ripcord when you are at full draw and have to let down for whatever reason, the forks don't stay up in the ready position. But the QAD will. It's not a huge deal but I just prefer them to stay up.
I have original NAP Apache rests on both of my bows. While it is a little bulky and you can only load your arrow from the top, I absolutely love this rest. It's dang quiet and very user friendly when it comes to installation and adjustments. The price is pretty decent for budgets, too. Just my two cents. Good luck!!
QAD HDX Ultra for me too. Having the rest stay in the up position when letting down is huge. You can also flip it up locking it in when you nock your arrow so you don't have the arrow move to either side while in mid draw. They have some good lookin' limited editions ones out now as well.
Glad this thred got started I need a new one does anyone have any experience or know of any personal reviews on the NAP APACHE CARBON?
Been shooting a Rip Cord Code Red for the past couple of years, has worked very well for me. A friend of mine shoot the QAD and he really likes it. I think it just depends on what your preference is I guess.
I had 3 QAD all ended up with issues. Had 2 Ripcords that I liked but were a little loud. Now NAP Apache Carbons on 2 bows and I like them the best. Not 20+ parts to fail, no must cock it up to shoot it and no scraping sounds going up/down (QAD). No clip when triggered (Ripcord). The quietest most reliable dropaway I have used is the Apache Carbon. Although I never had an issue with my Apaches, NAP has top notch CS.
I just installed the Axion Pulse on one of my bows this week. Too early to tell how good of a rest it will be, but set up was a breeze and is working well so far. I was going to try the QAD, but I've seen far too many of them get sticky on the bottom. What I mean by that is after the shot, the launcher arm sticks in the down position. SCFox
