    Hey guys,

I have a Hoyt Vulcan (2007). I love my bow. However, it's in RealTree Hardwoods pattern that is fading and wearing off. I really want to get it painted. I'd like to get the whole thing painted black, but if the limbs can't be painted, I'd be happy with just the riser.

    Any ideas?

Have you considered getting it dipped?

Best results I've seen by far were dipped.

a light scuffing to give the new paint something to stick too, then a good wash down with a degreaser

I'm a bigger fan of cerakote , but I also like Brownell's aluimihyde.
    Both are bake on finishes.
I send things out to get cerakoted but have done several AR receivers and parts with the Brownells and its a lot more durable than paint.

    Thanks for the replies gents.

I like the Ultimate Finishers! I may send my bow in to them to get it powder coated next summer.
