I've been looking at the NAP BH's and I'm interested to see what your opinions are and which you use. I know the BHOD guys use them and if they've ever had any performance issues with the mechanicals. I hear good things about most mechanicals but am still a bit skeptical for some reason. Thanks ahead of time for the advice, good or bad.

Look into Swhackers. Their blade deployment is the best out there IMO. Do some research on them and you may change your mind. In no way am I knocking NAP Killzone. They're great efficient heads. I'm just more of a fan of Swhackers blade system and the concept behind it.

I used the NAP Spitfire Maxx broad heads last season and, while I only shot 1 pig with them, the blood trail was unbelievable. Seriously, anyone could have followed that blood trail. It was as good a blood trail as any I've ever seen from my .270. That said, I'm still thinking about a switch to fixed bladebthis season, just because I've neverbised them and would like to be able to compare.

Of course I'm biased but I've been shooting NAP heads since before Bowhunting.com even existed. I've never had a single problem with any of their products and I've shot the Nitron, Hellrazor, Thunderhead Razor, Spitfire, Spitfire Maxx and Killzone.

I can understand being skeptical of mechanical broadheads. To some extent I am as well. Which is why I'll be shooting Thunderhead Razors this fall.

I can't speak highly enough about the entire NAP product line. I shot my buck last fall with a Killzone and the results were phenomenal. Similar to the post above, amazing blood trail. The fact that they include a practice broadhead is also a perk.

Nap blood runners as the best mechanical imo. Even if they fail to open they still cut on contact.

Spitfires, Thunderhead, Hellrazors and Killzones. All I use and all I will ever use until they fail me or someone gives me something else to try.

Nap makes great BHs. So does swhackers. So does Rage. So does Muzzy. Etc. I would get something that you like and that works well for your setup. Any BH coming out of a good tuned setup that is put in the proper place will definitely have successful results.

I've used spitfires. I haven't shot an animal with them but, they fly great and open great on a pumpkin at 75yd so I would imagine they would open flawlessly on a deer at close range.

After talking to Tim Gillingham this past weekend, I'll probably switch to Killzones this year. He claims at 120yd they have the same POI as his field points. I won't be shooting anything that far out of course but, that gives me confidence in them.

Nap killzone 100gr trophy tip, this guy made it about 35 yards or so, blood everywhere, I am trying the hellrazors this year. I really like the Nap products especially their heads.

Thanks everyone for the input and cgersty for the pic! Looks like a lot to choose from so I'll see what happens. I'm looking into setting up about 6 arrows, to start with, keeping them strictly to hunt with so I don't go back and forth between target shooting and hunting. I have recently bought some NAP Quick Fletch fletching wraps and am very happy with those. I'll probably keep using those for quite some time. Thanks again everyone!

I have been using NAP Spitfire Maxx for several years now and absolutely love them. Huge holes... great blood trails... have seen all deer drop or heard them drop that I have shot with them... probably around 20 or so.
    I swear by them.
only downside... not a huge entrance hole, but exits make up for it.

Love the Spit Fires! 2 deer per year the last 4 years and the only problems have been my screw ups.
