Picked up some Easton FMJ Dangerous Game Arrows for hog hunting and shot them for the first time tonight and I can actually watch the back of the arrows going to the right. Their hitting ok I guess. I'm trying to figure out the new tape for my HHA site.

I'm thinking because these things are 706 grains and so much slower that my Whisker Biscuit is showing my bad form and the fact that I'm torquing my bow. Shooting the ChillR at 66lbs and 30" arrows.

    What do you guys think?

Check center shot, personally I would French tune it then if they are still shooting tail right I would try out a drop away rest.

Might be a tad too stiff! Not flexing enough to snap straight off the string.

Interesting. I shoot bemen 340 hunters from the same bow and they fly great.

I don't think they're all flying side ways but some were.

French tuning is always great. Thanks.

I'm a diehard WB man. Don't need anything else to mess with on my bow. I like it simple.

If only a few then I wouldn't say too stiff. I would say fletching contact or try turning the nocks 180* only on the ones that fly sideways.

I see your arrows are 30" but what is your draw length?
    First IMO you should:
    Number your arrows.
Then shoot each one 3 times and write down what it is doing in flight.
    Next nock tune.
Once you are set at 20 then French tune / walk back tune.
But the main thing I would change is the rest. IMO whisker biscuits are to inconsistent and hold the arrow to long after the release of the string.
One other thing you can do is strip the fletching off of the ones flying bad and shoot them bare shaft if the still fly bad it's most likely not a contact issue.

I had a problem once with arrows that were just too long. They would fly-wobble sideways out to 30 yards. Turned out they were not stiff enough at 30 inches with a 100gr head. I cut them down to 28" and they flew much, much better.

Hard to say if that your problem here because 700grain arrows are so damn heavy, you'd figure they would be plenty stiff. One way to find out without cutting them down is to turn down your draw weight. Maybe down to 60lbs and see if they fly better.

Ok mom only shooting two of the arrows so if one was bad it would be 50% of my shots:)

I'll try them with my MR7 as well. They are so much slower but great penetration which is what I want.

My buddy shot a 190lb boar at my lease last month with two other BH already in him:-/. Tough bastards.

Field dress and quartered him but the meat was all bad.

Thanks. I do need to walk back tune I'm sure but honestly I'm still not convinced my technique is that consistent to judge my arrow flight to harshly an my set up.

    mmmm, sausage!
(trust me....I used to work in a grocery store as a meat cutter. That would end up as sausage. That's why I don't eat pork sausage from a store.)

    Oh no! :(

I cut one shoulder because of a BH I found and the processor from this and the 2nd BH. Suck cause we spent a long night cleaning it and packing it one ice just to throw it all away two days later.

I think it could be your whisker biscuit as you suggest and your arrow isn't clearing it at the slower speed before your bow arm moves. had that problem when I shot left handed one year because of a torn rotator cuff. I was learning to shoot left handed with a low poundage bow and the arrow was subject to bow movement much longer and my right arm with the shoulder damage couldn't hold it steady before the arrow was free. did exactly as you describe Replaced thea whisker biscuit with a drop rest which solved it.
