Has anyone here made their own shooting machine? If so how did it work out for you? Any pics if you've made one would be appreciated. I want a hooter shooter but can't spend that kind of money so just looking for a cheaper alternative.

Buddy of mine has one he made but I don't have pics of it...If you search on Archerytalk in the DIY section of the forums there was a huge thread about it...They built those out of a saw table if I remember right, that's what my buddy did...Think it was a miter saw table from Ryobi if I remember right...They work good once you get it all built, he uses his all the time when tuning bows.

No, if I got to that place with my bow (I go to the Pro Shop where they have one) I would just purchase a Hooter Shooter and be done with it.

Hutch can you post your plans and maybe total cost in the DIY section. I would love to read over how you built it.

Handy when really dialing a setup in, takes out the human "screw up" factor when really fine tuning a bow and tuning arrows.

Pretty sweet looking setup. Could you share the plans and video? I have been searching the other forums and YouTube but this one seems like it's the way I would want to go.

Yeah some of the ones I've seen online look pretty sketchy to me and I'm not sure I would trust them enough to use them but some look pretty solid like the one hutch posted pics of. That's what I'm looking into making.

Thanks I wasn't sure how well it would work out so it's good to hear he gets a lot of use out of it.

    The $168 one or something?

Looks good, but something I am not good enough to justify having ATM.

Yeah that one... If you dig through that thread my buddy is P&Y Only on there and he has pics of it in there. Everyone kinda modified theirs different but they are handy.. I just haven't had the room for one or I would have already built one.
