Hey guys I'm looking at getting a new sight.....I currently have a Diablo 4 pin sight.....and I want to upgrade here after a bit to a higher quality sight.....I've heard good things about the Spot Hogg's but does anyone have any suggestions? and please provide why you would prefer that one. Thanks
I think that I would like to go with a 4+ pin sight over a single pin though Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Spot Hogg hunter wrapped sight is very, very good. I imagine I could run over it in my car and it would still be ok. CBE Hunter Hybrid is pretty decent also.
I bought a trophy ridege react 5 pin and I like it so far. I've only had it for a short time and shot indoors with it. Its on my '13 Elite Hunter. I like the 5 pin for hunting so I don't have to mess with dialing a ydge on a single pin. They also make a single pin react but it was a bit outta my price range. The 5 pin was easy to sight in as the directions describe and it was around 125$. Looking forward to shooting outside with it but here in CNY its not the right weather yet....we are still ice fishing lol. Good luck with whatever you choose
Everyone at my shop shoots spott hogg sights and they love 'em I might try one of those......i did get rid of the whisker biscuit and bought a drop away limb driver rest today and love it.....got a good deal on one that a kid used for 1 day before he bought a different one.....$50 can't really say no...so i didn't! lol
I shoot a single pin sight for target shooting, and I love it. I have long debated going with a single pin for hunting, but I can't seem to convince myself. My biggest concern is if I change arrows I would have to resight in the bow and get a new sight tape. This is probably an easier process than I realize. Any experience with this?
You can't go wrong with Spot Hogg no matter which of their sights you choose. They are tough as nails. You can order different sized fibers for your pins if you like. Their Bullet Proof pins are a vast improvement over the old style pins. Their customer service is great. I could say the same for HHA as well but for a multi pin, I'd go Spot Hogg.
Resighting your bow is routine maintenance. Once set it should be fine for a while but still should be little of a concern. I would find the arrows you plan on sticking with for the season .. during the off season.. and set up. From my POV a single pin for hunting is a poor choice. A three to five pin is ideal. I shoot a Tommy Hogg sight and it has three set pins. Hopefully this helps.
I would go single pin for target shooting "SPOTT HOGG: HOGG FATHER" and for hunting "Axcel ARMORTECH HD" this is such a sweet sight. But I love my really light set up. Would not change it for the world!
I use a single pin for hunting and target...wouldn't want it any other way...Montana black gold....it's been good to me and I have no desire to change from it...HHAs are really nice as well Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah I shot a single pin last year and i really liked it, I just added the HHA to my new creed and I love it. I just need to shoot at 60 yards to finish setting up the tape. Sent from my iPhone
