The arrows I currently shoot have absolutely no problem going completely through a full grown whitetail. But on the last archery hunt i went on, she jumped the string on me and i ended up hitting her in the shoulder instead of center mass. The only way i can think of getting my shot a little faster without changing limbs is new arrows, but I could be wrong. If i could get some help on how to get faster, or personal experiences with various arrows if that is the only way, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
1. Typically, a deer jumping the string does not cause you to hit the shoulder. I would bet you were holding too far forward. 2. Going to a lighter, faster arrow is not going to help your penetration issues. 3. You will NEVER beat the speed that a deer can react to sound.
I'm guessing it didn't go through the shoulder? More speed isn't going to beat the reflects of a nervous whitetail, more momentum and to solid cut on contact broadhead might penetrate through a shoulder on a poor shot. A gentleman on here once said set your bow up for the worse case scenario, I suggest you look towards that direction.

I think he's trying to beat the string jump and that's why he wants to go faster, is that right OP? If that's the case, your not going to go fast enough to beat the string jump. If you hit the deer in the shoulder,it wasn't because of string jump, it was just a bad hit. When a deer "jumps the string" they drop down to load their legs resulting in a higher hit or a miss all together. Of course I wasn't there and didn't see what happen, but i'd be willing to bet you just hit a little far forward. If you just want to go faster, you could try Gold Tips velocity arrows. I see you shoot Carbon express, they may make an arrow like that but i'm not familiar with their line up.
That's what I thought, too. But this time she started to turn toward me instead of just ducking down like normal. That's where, if I was shooting a little faster, the arrow would have gotten there first. She was a good 25-30 yards away. Longest shot I can take from that stand. Still need to do some trimming.

You are trying to fight flinches and reflexes that move far too fast for any amount of man-made feet per seconds to make up for. DO NOT FALL for the "sex...er I mean speed sells" lies put out their by so many hunters/bow manufacturers and sadly some pro-shop owners. If speed is what kills than recurves....long bows....would not claim tons of deer every year with their "incredibly" slow fps speeds compared to the compound bows out there. Speed makes up for nothing...and often times will create some issues along the way.
A fast poor shot is still a poor shot. I have no clue how fast my arrows go.....but I know how much they weight. 584gr. I hit a shoulder once...make that twice. My FMJ hit the shoulder blade going in and stuck out the opposite shoulder 6".
Like mentioned above, even if you go to a lighter arrow and faster setup, a deer that jumps the string. Keep that in mind. I'm not going to assume bad shot or anything like that. Deer can react very strangely sometimes. The point is, if you're happy with your pile drivers, no need to change. If you want something faster, it won't solve putting a bad shot on a deer that jumps the string.
Everyone makes excellent points. I can only see 2 things that I would add...#1 Don't shoot at nervous animals beyond 15 yards and #2 Find a set up that is faster than the speed of sound.
its not heavy arrows. you need to create the highest amount of kinetic energy depending on the speed from your bow. too heavy you lose kinetic energy too light you lose kinetic energy.
Look at it from a human prespective.... Would u rather hit your ememy with a pebble or a brick? I choose the brick myfriend it does more damage. Weight=momentum hard to stop a train easy to stop a moped! Throw the brick it wont let u down
