Im doing an overhaul on my arrows and im completely new to this. Ill be picking up a Bohning jig this weekend and i have some custom wraps on the way from one stringer. My questions are, whats a good glue? what vanes do you guys recommend? and how do you properly space the vanes from each other?

    1. I use Gorilla Glue. The Super Glue, not the normal stuff
    2. What Bohning Jig did you get? Some only work with Blazers. I use Norway Fusions
3.The Jig will take care of your vane placement.

I'm not sure if it was on their site. I had the same question so I emailed them and they got back to me right away.
Hey, that reminds me. I haven't watched them in a while but they have a video section that seemed like it might be pretty helpful. Check it out. I plan to watch them again before I wrap... hopefully this weekend.:woot:

Edit: Be sure to post picks of those Packers arrows when you get them done.

I use two diff bohning jigs. Bohning blazers(cheap on ebay) and G5 Blu Glue - strongest glue I have used. I would recommend this glue, because once they rip off your arrow/wrap it never looks the same once glued back on. I ditched wraps this year and just went with vanes for this reason alone.

I use an old grayling jig thats about 25 yrs old, the bohning 4" wraps, vanetec 2" HP vanes. Your jig should come with directions, the wraps should either roll on or submerge in hot water and will shrinkwrap, as for vanes and shaft prep, I use acetone to clean with, then I use bohning platinum fletch tite. You do have to watch how much offset or helical you use though. It can be bad if you use a real radical offset/helical if you use a whisker buiscuit or a shoot through type of rest. If you do decide to use a radical offset/helical you might want to switch to a drop away rest. Good luck to you.
