Hey everyone today I was out shooting my bow as usual and I was practicing with my NAP killzone broadheads and my carbon express thunder storm arrows ,And I began to realize that the arrow is really flying pretty slow .The hole reason I began shooting the thunderstorm arrows was because they are designed for lower draw weight bows .And last season I was shooting 48 pounds and the arrows were doing there job and what they were designed for .But since last fall my draw weight went up to 65 pounds and no longer need to shoot heavy arrows like the thunderstorms .What I am trying to get at here is what light and accurate arrows would shoot well with the NAP Killzone broadheads ,and what arrows you guys use with the NAP killzone broadheads
This year, I'm shooting Gold Tip Hunter XTs, havnt hunted with them yet, but they seem to fly straight with the killzone..so far.
I hate to tell you but what I'm seeing is that the thunderstorms are only 8.2g per Inch that IMO are already on the light side. They have about a .500 spine which is fine for shooting 45lbs or so but at 65lbs your more than likely underspined. Average arrows weigh around 8.5 to 9g per inch and I really wouldn't recommend you going any lighter. But if you must you could look into maxima blue streaks but even those with a spine suitable for your bow is 8.3 grains per inch.
yeah those arrows are way underspined. they are for DW of 30-50 pounds. depending on your arrow length you should probably be a 400 spine or a 340. also don't go lighter. heavier arrow is better. it gives more momentum and more penetration.
My draw length is 28 ,I think I'm gunna go with the easton FMJS , They seem pretty popular and seem to have good reviews .
