I shoot the 2013 PSE Drive 60lb max at 28'' draw, I chrono'd my bow today with 350gr victory vforces NAP quickfletch and 100gr field tips and it was at 262 fps consistently, now same arrow set up the same way except at 400 instead of 350, this arrow consistently chrono'd at 291fps. Do I switch to 400Gr or stay at 350Gr, I would think I should switch to 400's because it would be a flatter shooting arrow IMO but help and opinions will be taken into consideration!

I'm assuming you mean spine with those numbers (350-400) and not weight in Gr.????

the 350 is a heavier arrow than the 400 which is why 400 is faster....you would be fine with a 400 spine as long as you don't go to heavy on total arrow weight i believe.....more info would be needed to tell you much more......plus remember that speed is not always better when hunting...a heavier arrow would penetrate better which is a good thing

yes that's what I mean sorry, wrote fast wasn't thinking, I think with the 400 I would do alright for hunting I shoot a 100gr spitfire and I feel like the 400 would work just as well

I looked the bow up i think i would stick with the 350 spine but cut the arrow about an inch longer than your draw if your over a 28'draw. This will weakened the spine a touch an probably be about prefect. Believe it or not a heavy arrow flies better due to it more stabile in flight plus it resist the wind better.

Thanks! What about GPI my arrows are 8.7 GPI and I was just going to keep the 350 spine but go to a 7.6GPI arrow, what difference will that make?

obviously the less GPI the faster the arrow will be due to the lighter shaft and keeping the spine the same all at the same time

A 350 spine will always weigh more that a 400 spine arrow. What's your draw length. For example I'm a 28" draw my bow is set at 62lbs I shoot a 340 spine easton flatline that is 28.5 long the total arrow weight is 396 grains. It shoots 272 fps an produces like 67 foot pounds of kinetic energy which is more than enough to kill anything

    I shoot 28" draw at 61Lbs with a 28" arrow, the 350 Victory Vforce Chrono'd at 262 fps I shot a Victory VForceHV 350 and it Chrono's at 289 then I shot the 400 VForce and it hit 291-92

The only difference was the HV had a GPI of 6.8 and the normal Vforce was 8.7 GPI

If your wanting speed which is what your sounding like you want then go with the victory hv at least your spine will be better

I just want a happy in between I don't want to shoot my ibo speed, I just want fast and good kinetic energy i.e 290 FPS with a 350 and lighter GPI I think ill achieve that. I appreciate all the help!

6.8 gpi in a 350 spine is about the lightest you will find. Just be careful if you hit anything solid with that shaft cause to be that light and have that spine it has to be brittle. Inspect your arrows really well if you slap them together or stuff like that
