I'm 14 and love to bowhunt, and I'm interested in getting into target archery. What leauges, competitions, or tournaments are in northern Illinois? Youth would be nice, but I'm game for anything. Thanks.
There are many clubs that hold shoots and there is a Midwestern archery championship that holds shoots across northern il. And in Wis. My son shots it and there are classes for all. If need info on some clubs pm me
Guess it really depends on how serious you want to get into the sport. You can always find local events that are open to youth if you just search your area. If you really want to get into the sport I would find a local JOAD club and get involved that way. Junior Olympic Archery Development - JOAD
Yes - I've seen and been a part of JOAD programs all over the country. TAZ's program is top notch and well run program with a great coach. Several of their kids are doing really well on the national level as well. It might be a drive for you but I'd heavily recommend them.
