Just returned from an over the counter public land spot and stalk trip from central Arizona. A buddy and I drove out from SoCal and met up with a couple of buddies who live and guide there. After Dec. they take a little time to hunt for them selves so they invited us out to join them. We spent about a week scouting and stalking big Mule Deer. I didn't get mine, I missed a shot on a nice 4x4 at 70yrds. He was trotting away from me up a little hill and I shot just left, Maybe Ill gettem next year. The other 3 guys all got nice deer. What a great week in the desert. Can't wait to go back next January.
