AZ has a non resident restriction on the number of tags pretty tough to get a good draw I am building points now and in 4 years if i can retire i will get set up as a AZ resident and the points will be usable.
Have a friend in AZ. He use to tell me come out and hunt. Well, I put it off and put it off. Now I'm married with children and my priorities have changed. Would've been a good time though.
That's exactly what I did and it worked perfectly. After I moved to AZ, I took the Hunter Safety Course which added a bonus point forever. That along with the loyalty point will give you 3 numbers in the draw forever. Not only did I get drawn last year in the most preference points portion and this year in the normal draw. Remember not to put any non prime hunts on your application when you get here...a fifth choice cow tag takes away your points just like a 1st choice bull in the rut tag.
