Headed for Texas now

So originally the Army had me PCSing to North Carolina to Ft Bragg in September, but as of yesterday my orders were changed and I'm headed for Ft Hood in Novemer now. Any good hunting in that area?

 

I'm not familiar with that area but there isn't much "bad" hunting in Texas. Of course there are the big deer in South Texas and I my uncle had some very respectable deer on his ranch near Crockett (East a little ways). Good luck!

 

All of TX is good and great people who love hunting. Lots of hogs as well.

 

There are some outfitters right near san antonio that could be a good start

One of our instructors is from Austin. He says that they go shoot hogs on a regular basis as they are considered pests. I think you will like Texas. Good luck

 

Yeah one of the civilians at Ft Hood told me plenty of hogs to shoot over in Granger
