I live in edmond, but have property and hunt south of you In Delaware county - south of maysville, AR near spavinaw creek.

My parents live on the south side of Carey bay. They are hoping you clear out some for them, caddis! They are over run with deer!

Hey okie_flinger, Delaware county has a GREAT population right now. I'm on the northern side, down south is over run with whitetail and wild hogs. Oct 1st is so close but soooo far away. I have everything absolutely perfect, stands in the right places, shot lines trimmed, scouted them all summer to learn their patterns... man I cant wait for backstraps on the grill...

Central Ok. Hunting Okfuskee County (Paden area) Acorns looking abundant. Needing rain though. All in all seems to be shaping up to be a good season.

Man that crazy august rain sure helped everything out. Everyday it rained my property value went up because we just kept getting closer and closer to the lake lol. I sure wish our season opened on the 15th like MO... All my facebook friends live mostly in MO and all they can do is brag about how they only have 7 days... I love bowhunting.com best site i've found so far for advice, info, and hell I even bought my bow off the classifieds here for $200, the ones on Ebay are anywhere from $500-$900...

Hey everyone, good to see some Okies on the site. Been a member a long time. I live in central Oklahoma and hunt around here some (Meeker and Earlsboro) but mainly hunt in Northwest Oklahoma. I will be living in Weatherford during this season so I should be doing some hunting down there as well on a friend of mines place. Good luck this year everyone.

Good luck this year guys! Do any of you put your name in for control hunts? My wife, dad, and myself drew an antlerless for sequoyah NWA this year. I'm pretty excited about that. Hopefully I can draw that Elk permit one of these days. I just got back from a public land back-pack trip in CO. Ended up getting a calf. If you guys haven't ever done anything like that I highly recommend it.

I hunt private land in city limits w. permit you have to deal with alot of problems similar to public land. Had trail cam out since 8/15 i've gotten sooo many pics of does and fawns but not alot of pics of big bucks. I'm not a bone hunter anyways, I just like to hunt, also, the wife can't climb trees... lol

Tahlequah area here too, on Lake Tenkiller. Good to see a decent amount of floks on here from the greatest state in the nation :tu:

I hunt around home in Cherokee County and have several places in Adair County as well. The deer population and antler growth is looking good this year fellers.....and I'm feeling especially bloody :p
