I can only imagine. I have been practicing and seems with every shot the addiction grows, my fiancée is not going to like it after I bag my first... lol
She actually shot her first deer the season before last. The rifle scope bloodied the bridge of her nose and she didn't even know it she was so excited. Last year we had a bad season for some reason. All our deer came out at night. Only took two and she took zero. I hinted around to her already about her trying to shoot a bow but she hasn't really shown any interest yet. May add it to our wedding vows next month... lol
Im from Summerville, and have hunted all my life. This will be my third year bow hunting and could care less about gun hunting anymore... Welcome and good luck to ya!
lived and hunted there back in the 70's... some great hunting and even better seasons/limits... back in the day, I preferred the hellhole and waterhorn units in Francis Marion... if the have kept the shotgunners and their dogs out they should still be pretty good for bow hunting... liked waterhorn better.. got at least 2 outa there every year... only got one outa the hellhole bout every other year..
I have hunted Hellhole before and have heard good things about Waterhorn... DNR has cut back a lot on dog days, and deer limits...
Anyone else stuck inside with all of this rain? Forecasters predicted it to be a lot worse than we have at my place right now...wind is a little strong but I'm thinking if it stays with this somewhat light steady rain ill be in a tree this evening!
I've been bowhunting for 30+ years. I've done most of my hunting in SC and WV. My knees can't handle the mountains of WV anymore. I've also hunted IL three seasons and hunted my first hunt in NC a week ago. Bill
Been visiting North Myrtle Beach, SC my whole life, parents have a condo there. I have always wanted to do some hunting but I feel like I would have to travel a little ways inland to find anywhere to hunt. Love the fishing and the weather down there!
Lexington Bowhunter Just moved to SC 1.5 years ago. Have bowhunted in Utah, Tennessee, and Texas and have to say that 2015 in SC was pretty difficult compared to those other states. Looking forward to a more productive (dryer) fall in 2016.
been here all my life! Deer hunting is tuffer here, deer are alot more pressured espically with the long season and gracious bag limits!! usually travel to ohio to hunt once a year
