I have an 8 point on camera and had him come under my tree 3 mornings in one week chasing does. Just couldn't see my pins to shoot. Unfortunately the only picture I had of him was on a card that was in my camera when it was stolen. I have killed 3 does a 7point and an 8point. Killed the two bucks back to back mornings chasing does. Small deer though maybe 100in-110in. Have seen a lot of killer sign in the past couple days. Fresh rubs everywhere.

The 8 I told you I had one picture of is a giant. I had the one pic from last year chasing a doe by my truthcam and that was the only time I had laid eyes on the deer and we guessed him to be around 150 and at least a 5&1/2 year old. Well guess who showed up on a local cops dash cam rubbing a telephone pole at midnight on Halloween in the middle of the subdivision that we hunt around? Yep it was him and he is even bigger this year. Just as a basic 8point frame he is at least 160 probably bring conservative with that # to be honest. Long story short he is without a doubt the biggest deer I have ever seen on the good. That is the buck I had chasing does under me before daylight back to back mornings. I also saw him in late October hitting a scrape that was as big as the hood of my truck. I almost had him committed to the grunt call and he turned to walk away. I tried the only option I had left and that was to snort wheeze and pray it would get under his skin and it was obvious he didn't like that at all. He did a 180, bristled up and was coming straight up the holler to me when the neighbors dog came busting through the woods chasing a yearling. Guess that's the kind of thing you have to deal with when you hunt close quarters with the wealthy. I couldn't ever remember being so mad and feeling so let down in my life. I couldn't really say anything to the guy. I mean he allows me to hunt maybe 100 yards from his back porch steps. Hoping to catch up with him now in the late season moving back to the big acorn flat I hunt. They were in full swing down here by the second week of November. Usually don't happen till historically around here the week of thanksgiving. They should be back chasing by Christmas picking up those last few hot does. When did the rut hit up there man?

In Anderson county we saw a few young bucks chasing the weekend before Thanksgiving then the week after had a 6 and a spike follow a drag in but that's it we were in IL for Thanksgiving so not sure how that weekend was but trail cams weren't anymore active. I have a big bodied 8-9 point seen at a distance but never comes out of the bottom

All private I have access to a lot of land giving up the 6500 acre lease this year it's getting out of hand but I have access to just over 100acres split between 3 tracts 42,50,13 and 200 in Harriman that is buck only 8pt or better. The 6500 acre lease is Campbell/Scott and backs up to Royal Blue

It's because not many people are on the qdma train around here. It's all about backstraps. I'm all for it don't get me wrong but I'm bow season I kill my 4 for limit usually within the first 2 weeks to fill the freezer. Shoot all the does I can cause the ratio is ridiculous where I hunt but I do my best not to shoot a little buck. Every yearling I have ever killed in the land I hunt have been button bucks. Everybody has a guest to bring Every time they come and I have personally seen 3 instances when a person hunting for their third or fourth time in their life go sit in somebody else's stand and kill a buck that everybody on the lease is after. They had a sign in board with 35 different shooting houses built in food plots. Sign your name beside a number and it's yours. First come first serve no matter who's it is. That's bull**** no matter how you look at it and then We had guys kill spikes and 4 points with no repercussions at all. Supposed to be 8 or better or at least 4 on one side. Even when you try to practice good ethics and conservation some people will just never get it.
