Southern Virginia is where I grew up. Don't let anyone tell you there are no big deer in Virginia. They are there just not as many. Good luck.

Check out flat creek archery on Facebook. We are a new Asa club that's just getting started we are located in Amelia,va and our first shoot will be sept 20th. However blackstone archery has a shoot this weekend as we'll. there is also a club in Clarksville they shoot the first weekend of the month and blackstone is the second weekend of the month.

HAHA i don't know who told you that. In NoVa we have HUGE bucks (4+ years old) holed up in very urban areas. My friend's dad pulled 2 14pt+ 16"+ wide bucks near GMU. I'm chasing a 4-5 year old 10 point thats north of 16" as well

Anyone have any luck? We had horrible weather here in central Va. over the past several days but it has cleared up and the deer seem to be moving. Haven't seen any head gear as of yet but things are picking up.
