I had no clue what the t-bar was at first but after looking it up. Doing that wouldnt be a bad idea. Im getting some stuff worked on next week so i could have them do that then too.

Do some research before doing it. Main thing it to not max out your bolts! will put some strain on the CV's and ball joints if you max them. Pretty simple though..

    Jack up truck
    Crank both bolts
Drop truck and measure from ground to fender on both sides
    Adjust as needed
YOU MUST GET AN ALIGNMENT AFTER

I got about 2" out of my pickup. The ride did get stiffer but removing the front sway bar cured any ailments.

Ive read all of the things you posted. My problem is i dont have the means of getting it done. Would a shop do that for me? I said earlier that I already have a appointment where im getting some stuff fixed up anyways so if they could do that it would be great.

Some shops will, some wont. It can be viewed as a liability issue in the sense that if you had a CV axle failure you could pin it back on them. I have cranked the bars on nearly all of my pickups and have never seen any adverse effects if done correctly. I would just ask.

i got a leveling kit put on mine. it is the same thing as cranking the t bolts but it comes with torsion keys and relives some of that stress on everything. i put my front in just a half inch lower than the rear and it looks much better. the z71s are pretty much level already so it just gave mine that taller stance look

How much did that cost you to do that?

Keys are a waste of money.

Why do you say that? I had to put keys in mine in order to get it the height I wanted, just cranking the bars wouldn't do it. I also had to get longer shocks up front.

I should have clarified. For just leveling out the truck keys are a waste. They do nothing more than cranking your torsion bars will do, which is free. If you need more lift than that then keys can work, but I much prefer to do a suspension lift. You could also do a body lift if your just looking to gain some clearance for tires. I wouldn't do a BL on a chevy, though.

I just got off the highway with the new tires and they felt good going down the road at 70-75 mph. I didn't notice any humming coming from the tires but my truck is pretty loud too :tu: overall so far they are really nice tires we will see how they do in mid and snow later on.

The truck is in the shop today. They are going to fix a few loose rods in the front end then they are going to try and raise the front end by the T-bar but he said if its stuck to bad they wont do it so i said thats fine. Then a alignment and i should be good to go. :tu:

Those T bars can be stubborn. I have to use a 1/2" drive and a 3ft breaker bar on mine. Post pics!

Did you try that wheel cleaner yet?

Ill should have some pictures tomorrow. I did try the cleaner out. It worked really well for the rims never being cleaned before. The front rims were worse then the back to begin with so they didnt get as clean but "cleaner" none the less. So im happy with it I'm working on putting a short video together on it but im not sure how that turned out since the sound isnt great on it. I might just take that out and show just the clips of whats going on.
