Hey guys! So I am baiting in my yard, just for the fun of it, Lets see what comes in, SO I have had mostly does, some spikes, 4 point, and a 8 pointer with an antler broke off, and random does. So Last night I heard crunching a lot, I Shined and saw a bunch of eyes, SO CHecked camera this morning, Got a very nice big 8 point, Coming right in my yard, So WIshing I meet paths with him with these 2 days left of rifle, otherwise the bow lol.
Those bucks coming in the yard are taunting you, unacceptable behavior make an example of one of them.
I started this at my new house just for fun and to see what's lurking in the yard at night. Had this guy show up on thanksgiving morning!
Yard bucks are evil. Over the summer I had 6 shooters on cam. Come the season they all went nocturnal. At least as far as coming in my yard goes, I don't think they bed anywhere close to my little woodlot.
He's back! Got word he has been on my buddies trail cams couple miles away, but he's hanging around me now!
We have a salt block and throw corn out in the yard for fun. We have had plenty of big boys visit however I've never seen any of them in day light hours in 5 years. lol!
Haha It sucks! Last day of rifle season here, Might go out for an afternoon hunt, But put a doe down so I'm content right now, lol.

Always amazes me when the biggest deer on our property will show up some nights behind the house while we're carrying on but when it comes time to sit in the stand they disappear! I think they're on to me!
For anyone who hunts swamps/marshes, I hunt the edges, but I don't think i'm safe to walk in it, It's partly water, but mostly marsh grass and such, Am I safe to walk in it around christmas? When we get a really good freeze?
I've got two visiting my front yard that would be shooters if it wasn't for my HOA (minor inconvenience) and my wife (major issue, not messing with her deer). One made a scrape by a little pine tree and since then the two of them (and every other scrub buck) have been thrashing it to pieces.
