So...this is only my second year bow hunting whitetail and I have yet to let an arrow fly on a deer. Back in October a friend gave me access to 40 acres I put out a couple of gravity feeders and stealth cams and starting getting lots of does showing up immediately.

Last weekend I had to work pretty much all weekend but i did manage to get out pull cards from my trail cameras and i found this. I'm pretty stoked to see such a nice looking buck out there. There's not much food on the property but there's wheat on adjacent properties.

Anyhow...not much else to add...just excited to see some action out there. This would make an pretty amazing first buck...i just hope i get the chance and don't blow it.

Here's another nice little 8pt....wish me luck!

Thanks...I'm so green anything I put my hands on is going to be a trophy.

So much to learn....so many things can go wrong. A million little decisions all second guessued. Just getting close to one is a victory at this point!

    Have a great Thanksgiving!

Well that big one came by during daylight. I'd be in there hunting around the same time of the day you got that picture... if you see him. Watch what he does. If its in the evening get in there early and move a stand to what trail he is using. If you see a pattern you must take advantage of it because their patterns change so quickly during the season. Make sure you hunt this spot with the right wind and make sure you take as many scent precautions as possible. Make sure your boots are sprayed down good. He smells you once. You probably won't see him again this season. Good luck to you.

I still shake like a leaf on tree when a deer shows up.
    Good luck!
