Hello all. I recently got permission to hunt on an 80 acre property that has two corn feeders that have been running since September ish. Right now the deer don't seem to be hitting it at all. In fact I've watched several walk within feet of the feeders and not stop. Anything I can do/plant that will give a good source for late December bow hunting?

I bet you are wrong. Do you have a camera on the feeders? You "watched several walk within feet" , several what? Bucks or Does? Bucks don't eat this time of year. They have other things on their mind.

Yes I've got cams on them. There's been a few does and one small 8pt but so far it's been middle of the night. All the pics show they're not eating but passing by.

    What state are you in?
Maybe kale or rye. Just depends on where you are at. Not able to plant anything in Missouri this late.

You could try rape, Kale, or rye.

Thanks foodplot, any special notes on getting it planted? When might it be usable?

I don't think much will out draw corn in the late season. Doesn't makes sense they're not eating it unless it's too high risk of an area.

Definitely don't plant it very deep. Basically just scratch the ground. Use cultipacker to compact the soil.
It is usuable as soon as it comes up.
