Almost last minute Friday after hearing shots ring out from everywhere but where I was. I hear a shot from my BIL and get a text "buck down". He was sitting about 400 yards to my east. As I am looking at the text, I see movement coming down the hill to my right and see antlers. I grabbed the CVA and let out a yell. The smoke flew and it was all over. My largest buck ever. Had no idea of the size until I got my hands on him.
Congrats Short! That joker's got some mass. (We're gonna have to have a talk about harvest pics though)
Thick buck! Congrats. He must have been doing some serious rubbing on something, those points are flat on the tips. Odd.
Yeah. This pic was taken by the DNR guy at the check station. Gonna get a better picture before I start processing. Then it's off to the taxidermist. Anyone know anything about Terry's Taxidermy in Streator Illinois. I guess he's been doing it for 30 years and it's his full time job?
No idea. Gonna have the taxidermist give a score. With those splits, I wouldn't know how to score him. Too bad it was with the muzzleloader and not the Monster.
