Who all films there hunts?? It def. adds another layer and makes things tougher. Just curious how many guys out there are doing it now days.
I started with a bow mounted go pro last year. Now I'm up to 2 go pro and a dslr. Definitely more challenging! Still waiting on shooting one with dslr up here too. 3 angles is the most I want to deal with solo for sure. I try to keep things simple, dslr as my primary camera, then one on the bow, I turn that on before I hook up my release, one on the bow hanger for an angle on me in the tree, this I turn on when I reach for the bow. That way I don't have to reach too many places I wouldn't be already.
Yep, really enjoy self filming hunts. I run couple Go-pro's and added a little Cannon this year. I really need to spend some time learning how to edit. Thats where it all comes together.
I think I on my 4th our 5th year self filming. It certainly adds a whole different level of challenge. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
No desire to do the heavy lifting of big cameras, however I do enjoy the typical GoPro camera work. I know it's not the best, but it's something to watch and enjoy later down the road. Here's my latest endeavor... https://youtu.be/oOElTEsziZQ
I do sometimes. Nothing fancy just a small Sony handi cam and a camera arm. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
I try to. I have a DSLR and a GoPro and a handheld camcorder. Only when I'm in a box stand and can use a tripod because I don't have a decent tree arm. For those of you that film out of a tree, what kind of setup do you use? I'm looking to get a tree arm so any tips or experiences would be appreciated!
We just started filming and it definitely makes things more difficult. One thing I definitely enjoy is having someone else there to film (or filming for a buddy). Ads a social element to the hunt which makes it a lot more enjoyable on long sits.
Just started the past year with a go pro. I seem to forget to turn it on when the big bucks are near. Recently just started filming a buddy with a small camera since I am done hunting for the year. Definitely adds some more excitement to the hunt especially when you can watch it over and over.
