I shoot the rage 2 blade 2in with o ring and orange shock collar., My friend just bought a new pack of rages and they didn't come with a Oring or a place for one and just slot for the new black shock collar to slide into the blade. The ones we shot before had a place for the oring and an orange shock collar to fit over the oring and blade. We really liked the o ring and the orange shock collar combo, my question is - are they phasing the broadheads with the o rings out and going with just a shock collar???

Yes, the ones that use the o-ring are the old (legacy) rage broadheads. All the new heads just use the shock collar.

I actually like the o ring, never had one single issue.

Yeah me too, I didn't start using till they added the collar but I thought the combo with the oring and collar was great.

I've had no problem with the collars.

I have some that a buddy gave me that have the black ring and the orange ring. No place for the "O" ring.
All the ones that I currently have are the legacy ones with the "O" ring. I've never had any trouble with any of the 2 Blade RAGE with the "O" ring. For me they always worked flawlessly.

I never had an issue with either but the Shock Collar is a better system IMO. Blade retention is overall better and doesn't hurt deployment
