Alright I need your guys' help one more time.
What kind of range finder do you guys recommend? I don't want one to break the bank, just something kind of cheap and effective.
What kind of buck knife or skinning knife do you guys use or recommend?

I just ordered a halo range finder off bass pro. It's on sale free shipping and I had a 10 dollar off coupon. It has the angle compensation. Reviews said its only good out to about 60 yards which is good for me. I have a buck PBS (portable butcher shop) I love it. Life time free sharpening

I have been using a Halo X-ray 600 with no complaints.

A Buck 110 has been doing the job for a long time

I use a Leica 900. No complaints at all.

I honestly believe any brand name range finder will do the job for archery. I have a Nikon but I might've overpaid. Actually it was a gift so maybe my wife overpaid? I like Nikon optics in general.

I have a Winchester knife/gut/mini-saw combo that has worked well for me. I will need to sharpen it soon. If you're not a knife guy I would recommend the Havalon type knives with replaceable blades. Lots of guys swear by them, and it makes sense to swap blades if you're not getting the easy cutting you need. It beats sharpening in the field.

****ie's has the Halo 600 range Finder on sale today for $99 plus a $25 mail in rebate - I just bought one, for $75 I figure it's worth a try.
