Hey Guys, recently my buddy and I have been throwing together clips of our hunt this season. It's mostly just for family and friends but i would still like to make it as well done as posssible. We are two college kids who hunt when we can and bring good quality footage to the plate. I'm gonna attach our latest video but if you could watch a few on the channel and let me know your likes/dislikes that would be great. Previously you guys have helped a lot, here it is! enjoy!

A good one is to already have them on. Great idea with the video by the way

Good video. Definitely a good idea to have the harness on.
Not sure a homemade harness video is a good idea.

Harnesses come with just about every tree stand now a days. Prob no need to DIY one.

I agree...please don't distribute or share this as a representation of hunters without proper safety harnesses present. Otherwise like it.

That is the worst idea ever. Safety should be left in the hands of the professionals NOT some do it yourselfer's.

Yeah go ahead and gut shoot a deer and yell I smoked him to the camera, or endorse crap products but never ever appear on camera without a harness on, that would be a representation of a hunter we just can't accept.

Okay I'll admit I didn't watch the entire thing...did this happen? If so, I retract and will say don't share...please don't share!

Perhaps not in that episode or but honestly isn't 90% of videoed and produced hunting ventures that way?

Okay, I've watched it in it's entirety...

I won't comment further on the safety harvest as that has all been handled and stressed...but seriously, GET A DANG HARNESS ON!

-Honestly discussing the shot choice is a good thing and loved the honesty in that you did the stupid thing! This much deserves to be commended...I know many a show (cough cough) where honest dissection of poor shots is avoided.

-The coyote running, hunter shots and roll of video after the shot discussion and before the second hunt was great.

-Think about mixing/fading music in and out...not so harsh stops and starts, will streamline the video more.

-Safety harnesses...GET THEM OR HUNT ON THE GROUND :D

I'm sorry but i think you have watched a different video than the one I have shared. There was no yelling "I smoked him" nor was there a gut shot. I understand the concerns for the harnesses and have learned my lesson but I think making falsely comments is unnecessary. If you watch the video, we are actually deeply upset about wounding a deer. Please watch the video before comments are made, thanks.

Sorry if I offended you, my comment was about the TV hunting industry in general not your production, hence the feeling that I misquoted you.

I think you guys have the beginnings of a good show. Great job and honesty about screwing up the shot. Showing footage of tracking and discussion about your follow up to the poor shot would be an improvement. Maybe you did it in real life, but the way the video was put together it appears that hardly any effort was made to recover the deer. Showing more of that in future would show more realism and credibility to calling off the search. It would also make for a better story in the event of a poor shot. Otherwise, good job.

Don't do another video without wearing a safety harness. As a father, I would be incredibly proud of him putting together something like this. But my pride would be outweighed by my frustration at him not keeping himself safe. Your family will not be able to enjoy these videos if you are not around to make them.
