I've been passing on anything younger than a 3.5 year old for the past 3 years, helping a friend manage property here in WV. I ended up getting onto a lease in southern West Virginia this year too. I hunted that lease hard trying to allow our bucks at home to grow another year. I put 12 hard consecutive days in to finally get one. The weather varied from 75° to 34°, I hunted rain or shine. It's definitely harder hunting down there, than back home, with the steep terrain, crazy thermals and unpredictable winds. But it was alot of fun and what an experience! This isn't the greatest pic, but he was a 10 point. He was busted up a little, had the tips of 3 tines broken, but I'm still very happy with him.
I'm not sure what he dressed out at. I know it was heavy enough that I was sore for 2 days after getting him out of the woods.
