I am excited to say that I got my first bow deer ever last week Wednesday!! Nothing to brag about, he was no monster- 2.5 year old 8 pointer but being my first ever I am very proud!!

My buck came in pretty hot and heavy on the trail that goes under my stand. Is it possible that he came in on the Estrus drag i used/applied on Monday afternoon (I got my buck on Wednsday at 6:30am)? There was no rain and the weather was calm- little wind. For what its worth I used Code Blue Estrus Drag. No other pictures of deer on my trail camera except for him right before I got him.

I personally didnt think a scent would ever last that long.

Just trying to keep tabs on what works and what doesnt.

    Thanks all

    Jeremy

So...was the estrus drag still in effect? Or is that scent long gone after a few days??

Congrats! A first deer with a bow is always a special one, and an 8 pointer to boot. Well done!

Congrats on the buck, I think the scent would be gone after a few days.

I would agree the scent is likely gone, the buck was just probably using your trail. The trail I made to one of my stands has become a deer path now. They don't like walking through branches and brush any more than we do.

    Nice deer
