That 360 degree shot was phenomenal. It's awesome to see what you guys come up with! Keep it up! Troy's, on the ground angle was cool but it's something that's been done by several. I know the first time I personally saw it was on a Mark Drury bow kill. I still love seeing that shot though, especially with the hunter in frame too.! I haven't seen that 360 degree shot done in a hunting application (probably has been). Just wanted to let you guys know that stuff doesn't go unnoticed! Also, sweet on the go camera adjustment from Todd. That took some serious guts to risk blowing the deer out to get the shot. Serious dedication there with a buck staring a hole thru you. He was very fortunate to get that arrow off! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm not going to steal Tim's thunder, I'll let him chime in here. He sent me pics of what he built to make that shot happen, pretty cool to say the least. I'll see if I can get him to chime in here.
Hey guys ... Thanks for the kind words about the 360 video ... I can't reveal too many details about my prototype just yet ... ! other than I'm calling it the "Selfie Moto-vator" ... I've had a lot of interest by those that has seen footage from it ... I hope to make a few up after season ... and see if there is any demand for them ! Maybe I should just be looking for an investor .. ha ha .. I come up with a lot of ideas from time to time ... some actually work .. ha ha ... I am a union Millwright by trade ... so I am used to building & fabricating things to do a special or particular function ... that's just what I do ..... I thought this would be a cool idea ... & I had never seen it done anywhere else ... so wa-la ... I made it .. Honestly the cool part is that it goes forward or reverse ... & I can stop it anywhere for that perfect over the shoulder second angel view ... Now ... If killing my #1 target buck was just that simple ... !!!
There Ya go, thanks Tim! Tim's contraption has gave me an idea, I'm kinda in the same trade as Tim, I'm a power plant mechanic/fabricator , I built my own camera arms 3 of them for various stands. Self filming is tough especially when you have to wrap the arm around you for left side shots. SO Gonna try to make that easier!
The only time it's horrible is shooting to the right. I've contemplated a second monitor Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Awesome, thanks for the response Tim. When you get it all finished up, I would love to see it - even again in future videos.
