I'm debating on forking out $400 plus dollars on the whole Ozonics set-up. My question to the forum is: DOES THE PRODUCT WORK? and IS IT WORTH THE MONEY? The hunting pros get theirs for free to advertise, but most of us have to pay for the units. What say you?

I use an ozone generator to treat my equipment and clothing, I am a big fan it seems to help with scent control. I will not be bringing a machine in a stand with me, not needed if you do it right as far as hunting clean. If you don't have good habits and practices as a hunter an ozone machine is not going to suddenly make you invisible to a deers nose.

Have you used it? Any first hand experiences using it in the field?

I wouldn't use one if they gave them away. Seriously.

I have not had a need to try one in the field, my current scent control has not failed me. My point is this an ozone machine alone will not put a hunter in a position that he can ignore hunting clean.

I set up a 2 man tent in the yard. I keep my bow and gear and all hunting clothing in the tent. I fire up the ozone generator before I get in the shower, everything is treated and ready to wear when I enter the tent.

I just bought a ozone generator to treat my clothes/gear before I go into the field like Sota does. There is no way I'm about to lug a ozone generator out in the field with me...there is a reason why we scout and have different stands for different winds.

I got one and will never go unto the woods without it! I do a very good job of keeping my clothes clean and all that but i like having it to give me that extra edge.

I got the same ozone generator as Sota and it has been working great so far this season.

$25 closet from ikea, $30 generator from ebay and you're good to go, no need to spend $400.

I already carry way too much stuff to have to lug in another large item. I take good care of my hunting clothes to keep them clean and I use a cover scent. I'm also using Evercalm on my boots and have had some pretty good results with that product(small sample size though).

Look up Dr. Jims scent control program on youtube. He explaims it in that ozone will cover your clothes good but to have it running in the field is too much and will eventually be associated with danger the same as human odor is if everyone blows ozone all over the woods while they hunt...

I swear buy these and they cost way less. Three sizes this is the small. I use it my blind/truck or clothes container. I hang it above me in a tree too.

I use the Pro (middle size) in my truck or blind for gun season, it plugs into 12V. I use a fish locator battery and it lasts all gun season.

I use the Magnum one above my clothes and gear. I hardly use spray anymore. I have a Resort. I had some grouse hunters a few falls ago with 2 dogs. When they left the place smelled like wet dog. I put the Magnum on high in the cottage for 24 hours....smell was gone. Sold me that day. If you have a teenage boy put this in his room and the whole house will be happy.

Can I kick you in the nuts, take half the money you would have spent on it and we can call it a day? Does that answer your question? I hope you have a sense of humor! :)

The marketing ploy that cracks me up is the guy in the treestands where the ozone generator creates a scent free barrier. I haven't hunted more than a couple hours this season where my barrier wouldn't have blown into the next county. Maybe there is some validity to using them in a ground blind...but how do you quantify its impact? It is a great snake oil...hard to prove either way.

Scout, practice decent scent control, hunt the wind and everything else will take care of itself.

I do not want to sit in a tree and listen to a machine buzzing, do not need it do not want it. Can not buy success.
